The New Space

Well, we did it. I had no idea that when we discussed the idea of moving home to Vancouver Island in mid May, that we would actually be here as quickly as August 12th. It has been an exciting few months, and we had some great neighbors and friends help us with a crazy hectic move on both ends. Our new place is located on a hill, and we couldn’t get our 26ft u-haul all the way up the driveway so we had to park with the truck teetering on a flat section of our driveway with the back of the truck facing downhill. Everybody was grunting and sweating, and I realized halfway through that we probably should have splurged the 7k on movers and saved everyone’s aging knees and backs.

So here we are, starting again, in a familiar place that feels just like home because it is home. The hardest part of moving has been cutting physical ties with clients/friends in the Fraser Valley. I’ve only had a chance to come back once to work and could only see a small fraction of the people I wanted to see. I hope to be back within the month, but have to work around the new Covid restrictions.

My new home clinic is officially open. Our good friend came up and renovated the entrance to our basement suite, my dad gave us some cedar, and we stained and painted everything inside and out, so its lookin’ pretty nice! I’m really proud of it and I can’t wait to share it with you. We are nestled at the back of a Cul De Sac in Cowichan Bay, backing onto forest trails, and overlooking the ocean and outward to Saltspring Island.

Where the forest meets the sea, I really want this to be a space where you can come and relax, and I hope my treatments leave you feeling healthy, happy, and rejuvenated.

Here are a few pics of the move and the home based clinic!
